In this fight, the Makron is invincible depleting his health will simply cause him to grab the player with a dark matter tractor beam, disabling Matthew Kane and causing him to be captured for Stroggification.

The Makron's left arm is a 3-pronged claw that can also fire a sweeping dark matter beam. The Makron is armed with a multi-purpose dark matter cannon as its right arm, which can fire a large variety of different attacks standard large blaster bolts, a spread of standard grenades, a dark matter black hole, a spread of dark matter grenades, and finally a spread of teleport drops to summon Strogg reinforcements. In the center of the Makron's torso is an attached Human Torso Unit serving as an extra power supply. In contrast to the previous Makron, which was an organic brain housed inside a robotic battle suit, the current Makron has an organic alien head and torso, encased in a gigantic, heavily armored robotic torso, and four spider-like mechanical legs. This Makron has a noticeably more sadistic personality, often laughing maniacally and shouting out phrases such as "die human!", "you will fail!", and "you cannot win!". Different from the one previously seen, the Makron is a larger, more powerful version built or elected to replace the previous Makron. In Quake 4, the Makron is the supreme leader of the Strogg, and also serves as the guardian of the Strogg Nexus and is one of the game's two final bosses (the other being the Nexus itself). 60 (dark matter grenade), 55 (dark matter grenade splash damage).12 (dark matter gun), 50 (dark matter gun splash damage).Once you destroyed all the Turrets, the truck will stop at the bunker, and you can go inside and start the next level.

Besides shooting the turrets, you might need to shoot the rockets down if you have time, as they will fill the screen with missile warning. There are Turrets on the four sides, rocket Turrets on the top side of the bunker, and more Turrets will appear out of the sky. Once you reach the an open canyon with a bunker, destroy all the Turrets in the area. Although the enemies will also damage the truck you are on, defend Rhodes is more important, aim for the head and chest for quicker killing.Īfter that, the trucks move again, and kill any Guards and Turrets along the way. Protect Rhodes from the incoming Grunts and Berserkers, and keep protecting him until he's done and heads back to his truck, shoot the one who is the closest to him, if he take too much hits the mission fails. Once the truck reaches a group of 4 land mines, Rhodes heads out of a truck and tries to disable them. At this point, you have to kill the enemies, because the truck has health bar now, use the mounted gun to kill any of the Stroggs and Turrets you'll find along the way, target the turret first, because it will do the most damage. Hop on the truck that's next to Bidwell, and take a ride down to the Hub.

Use your Grenade Launcher or Machine Gun to kill them, anything else is really ineffective.Īfter the trucks get to checkpoint one, feel free to talk to the marines, then meet up with Sergeant Bidwell. There is really nothing you need to do at this point, killing enemies is optional, you'll be fine even without firing a shot, but when you meet up with some Guards, it'll go faster if you helped your teammates. Ride on the first one, and it'll take you to your squad. After you exit the ship, you must find three trucks.
